Examining crossovers between media archaeology and the planetary, this assemblage is composed of a fossil-like imprint of a smartphone on carbon-coated ceramics, displaying video content of a shimmering rainbow lake in the middle of a desert ecosystem. The assemblage is speckled with sand-crusted worms as if they emerged from the video - a reference to the transfer of energy between Earth, media, and digital culture.
